PAUL KIRVAN As Principal Consultant, USA, for Kingswell International, Paul Kirvan represents Kingswell in the USA and offers a broad range of Business Continuity and telecom consulting skills including planning, research, project management and technical writing to deliver focused client solutions. Paul has over 20 years experience in business continuity, over 36 years combined experience in telecom and information technology, and over 28 years experience in technical writing and editing. Previously he was Vice President with Marsh, Inc., where he completed a number of business continuity engagements, and Senior Manager with Prevalent Networks LLC, an information security management firm, where he launched the firm’s Business Continuity Advisory Services practice. Before that he was Editor-in-Chief with The CPM Group, where he edited Contingency Planning & Management magazine and the e-newsletter CPM Global Assurance. BUSINESS CONTINUITY Earlier he led the business continuity and telecom practices at Fortune Consulting, a voice/data management consulting company located in West Long Branch, NJ, and Telcordia Technologies, Red Bank, NJ, managing telecom and business continuity consulting engagements. Paul was also Director of Telecommunications for The Mount Sinai Medical Center (New York, NY) where he led efforts to install over 4000 networked terminals, major upgrades to the institution’s 14,000-line phone system, and the design and implementation of a diversely routed local access network that ultimately protected the medical center from a potentially disastrous network outage. He also directed efforts to update the medical center’s disaster and emergency preparedness plans for its technology infrastructure. Following his work at Mount Sinai, he completed major technology and emergency management projects for New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Holy Name Hospital, Hunterdon Medical Center, Children’s Specialized Hospital, and Mary Washington Hospital. Paul has been directly involved with dozens of business continuity and telecom consulting engagements, ranging from operational assessments and strategy definition projects to plan design and implementation, system/network design and implementation, plan exercising and maintenance, and RFP preparation and response.He was awarded the 2001 Industry Achievement Award by the International Disaster Recovery Association (IDRA) Paul’s extensive qualifications include:
